Renewable America’s project, Dos Palos Project, has had a lot of updates, and we want to share them with you! On May 26th, Merced County granted Renewable America the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) on our 4.45 MWdc project.
After the initial hearing on April 26th with the Board of Supervisors of Merced County, a handful of locals voiced their concerns and filed an appeal ten days after the CUP had been granted. During the public hearing on May 23rd, there were two primary concerns: water rights on the parcel and agricultural land use for solar development.
Bob Milbourn, the landowner of this parcel, expressed his approval for our project, explaining that the water rights would remain with the parcel and that only 10% of the parcel would be used for solar development.
We’re proud to work with local communities to develop long-term, meaningful relationships and stimulate economic growth while expanding access to affordable clean energy. We’re excited to share more info as we continue our development for the Doc Palos Project.
Our solar and storage projects enable you to offer your customers the choice of local, affordable renewable energy.
Instead of procuring renewable energy credits or supply from far away, you can support your community with optimally sized off-site solar.
We partner with public agencies to provide community-based renewable energy solutions that scale beyond what on-site systems would allow.
Our solar and storage projects provide grid resiliency at the distribution level, stabilizing power supply directly to the feeder.
